Spice Production Assistant

Location Musaffah Industry, Abu Dhabi, AE

Accountabilities

• Assist the process of spice packaging, labelling and sealing to make the packages ready for customers and distributers.
• Maintain the inventory stock level (min and max) for spices, labels, sealers etc...
• Clean Blend area including washing and pantry room.
• Responsible to prepare the spice quantities required to supply and distribute.
• Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
• Perform verification of production output according to specifications and quality assurance.
• Responsible to check all supplied items in different stores.
• Responsible for re-packaging spices in containers, bottles or bags depending on order requirements.
• Filling the spices to complete customer orders.
• Assist with maintaining stock area.
• Keep workstation clean and organize throughout the day. Help with cleaning packaging floor and shelves r at the end of day, weekly and monthly as directed for food safety purposes.
• Help with fulfilment production needs. Fill and seal bags & bottles using auger fillers and band/hand sealers.

Work Environment

• This job operates in a spice production environment. Employee may be exposed to strong spice dust or odours. Employee must NOT be allergic to nuts, spices or herbs.
• This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with one hour lunch break. Friday half day from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
• Lift 20 kg boxes or bags of products throughout the day in different environments.
• Must perform general physical activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.
• Minimum Experience: One (1) year of job-related experience preferred or food handling certificate.
• Must have basic knowledge in computer typing and good English.
• Must possess basic knowledge of the language and terminologies used in this occupation.
• Must possess the ability to receive and follow direction.
• Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be to work on time and take reasonability of transportation and accommodation.
• Reliable and loyal to the company self-motivated and driven.
