Job Description

Key Responsibilities
1. The scope of work is to include but not restricted to the afore mentioned points.
2. To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook.
3. To be familiar with the policies and procedures concerning fire, emergency evacuation, accidents, bomb threats, law and order situations and to take appropriate action in order to protect staff, visitors and the premises in any given situation.
4. To carry out all assigned tasks in accordance and under the guidance of the Soft Services Manager.
5. To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times as per the grooming standards.
6. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
7. To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with Managers and staff at the projects and in the offices and all other department representatives.
8. To attend meetings as and when required.
9. To fully support the Training Function of Khidmah and in particular QHS&E and Soft Services.
10. To respond to any changes in the place of work function as dictated by the business and policies.
11. To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
12. To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
13. Ensures that health, hygiene and safety regulations are applied in the place of work in compliance with Abu Dhabi Code of Conduct, ISO-, COSHH, HACCP standards and procedures as well as the UAE Labour Law.
14. To be fully aware and conversant of any environmental standards within the place of work and responsible to integrate them in the day to day operation.
15. To be fully aware and conversant with ISO / policies and procedures and responsible to integrate into the day to day operation where applicable.
16. To be capable of lifting 25kg in accordance with the safe lifting procedure avoiding injury or illness.

Operational
1. To assist the Soft Services manager in organizing the team and task delegation with efficiency according to the established concept of providing a courteous, professional and flexible service at all times.
2. To have a full working knowledge and the capability to supervise, making sure that all services offered by Khidmah are always carried out with the utmost safety, efficiency, courtesy and professionalism.
3. To be entirely cooperative with the different departments within Khidmah or any other premises as assigned and perform all duties and tasks assigned to the Khidmah standards.
4. To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all related services and products.
5. To be fully conversant with all services, activities, facilities offered by the company to the client.
6. To assign responsibilities to team members, implementing multi-tasking principles and to check their performance daily.
7. To be fully competent in carrying out KPI inspections and Quality Assurance inspections at the project premises in compliance with any and all Service Level Agreements.
8. Reduce cost of doing business and keep budgetary control of the projects assigned.
9. Assisting growth of business and identifying new business opportunities.
10. To assist in maintaining and implementation of a flexible employee base, with the right mix of employees.
11. To support staff needs in other Divisions based on the business priorities and anticipated business demands.
12. To assist with mobilization of new projects including but not limited to purchasing assistance for equipment and machines, training of new staff, Client liaison and implementation of operating standards.
13. To perform commencement inspections and Completion handovers established for projects and new business opportunities as assigned.
14. To liaise with Human Resources for appointment of new staff, staff welfare and disciplinary issues.
15. To have a complete knowledge of all cleaning machines and equipment for operation and maintenance as dictated in operation.
16. To have a complete knowledge of cleaning chemicals, suppliers and janitorial materials in the market place.
17. To keep up to date with new innovations and products within the cleaning industry.
18. To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage, breakage and wastage.
19. To assist in the monitoring of on-site inventory and reduce any wastage.
20. To have a complete understanding of the different cleaning products and their economical use.
21. Liaise with the clients and the onsite Team Leaders and Supervisors to implement efficient management of cleaning programs and services.
22. To work closely with the Technical, MEP Department to ensure that the premises are well maintained and follow up on defects which may be detrimental to the operation of the site.
Administration
1. To Maintain the daily log book on site
2. To plan the weekly duty roster & work schedules
3. To maintain the work place communication board
4. To supervise departmental orientation programs for new employees to make sure that they understand the policy & procedure of the company
5. To liaise with the client representative on site at all times with cooperation and transparency

Guest Services
1. To ensure that each employee maximizes productivity and morale, maintain discipline following Client and Khidmah Policies & Procedures and local legislation.
2. To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees through Multi Skilling, Multi-Tasking and flexible scheduling and by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
3. To participate where and when necessary in camp inspections and to actively promote a clean and tidy living space for the staff.


Employee Handling
1. To ensure that each employee maximizes productivity and morale, maintain discipline following Client and Khidmah Policies & Procedures and local legislation.
2. To ensure that in the place of work, employees are multi skilled and have the necessary skills to perform their duties with maximum efficiency, through consistent training in accordance with the company’s training program
3. To participate where and when necessary in camp inspections and to actively promote a clean and tidy living space for the staff.
4. To assist in identifying training need & plan the training
5. To liaise & report all training taking place at the site & update all training records for the staff and collates records for Human Recourses records

Skills

This position profile covers the key responsibilities and expectations from the incumbent. However, responsibilities may change due to business requirements and it is expected that the employee will be flexible and carry out duties as may be reasonably assigned by line manager.
As a condition of employment, all employees are expected to carry out their duties within the guidelines prescribed by company policy, procedure and practice.
From time to time, employees will be required to attend meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required.
In addition, employees must adhere to all Khidmah health & safety policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health & safety requirements and obligations.

-Must have Driving license.
