The Senior Manager - Government Excellence is responsible for establishing and promoting a culture of excellence across HCT Central Services and campuses through the development and execution of excellence frameworks. He/she will lead the government award attainment process and enhance systems, performance and services to meet award requirements.



Contribute to the development and implementation of the Organisational Excellence strategy in alignment with HCT’s system-wide strategy.
Support with the development and implementation of Organisational Excellence policies, procedures and processes and monitor compliance of subordinates.
Contribute to the development of the annual budget of the Organisational Excellence function.

Establish a work environment for excellence through developing and regularly communicating excellence-related information (e.g. newsletters, seminars, etc.).
Design, develop and oversee the periodical implementation of awareness and training sessions on excellence, quality management and process improvement for relevant HCT excellence professionals.
Lead the development of comprehensive manuals and guidelines on internal excellence and process improvements and monitor their accessibility across HCT.
Review government excellence awards programmes and monitor compliance of HCT Central Services and campuses with their requirements continuously.
Manage the coordination with Institutional Research to gather and consolidate information and data related to HCT’s academic performance.
Lead a periodical internal assessment on HCT systems, customer services and processes to monitor alignment with excellence criteria.
Receive results of excellence awards and feedback reports, develop and communicate an internal report including recommendations, action plans and mitigation actions to be performed.
Stay abreast on emerging government excellence awards and their requirements, and act on new opportunities in a proactive and timely manner.
People Management
Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates based on HCT's Performance Management System.
Support with the development of workforce plans for Organisational Excellence and work with HR on succession planning for key positions in Organisational Excellence.
Contribute to the identification of learning and development needs of employees within Organisational Excellence in collaboration with HR.
Coach and mentor subordinates on a regular basis.
Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Organisational Development.
Full English and Arabic proficiency are required.
Intermediate computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office.
Minimum of eight years of work experience in Government Excellence or relevant field with at least two years of experience in a managerial role.
