Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled 2D/3D SolidWorks CAD Draftsman to support the design and development of safety vehicle accessories and aftermarket enhancement products. The role involves creating precise technical drawings, 3D models, and production-ready documentation for vehicle body components and accessory systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience in SolidWorks, understands automotive fabrication processes, and can translate concepts into manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks for vehicle accessories and body components
• Develop assemblies for products such as bull bars, roof racks, step boards, brackets, mounts, and protective systems
• Generate fabrication drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and production documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and production teams to refine designs for manufacturability
• Modify and update existing designs based on testing, feedback, or client requirements
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and automotive regulations
• Maintain organized CAD files, version control, and documentation systems
• Assist in prototyping and product development processes

Required Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field
• Proven experience in 2D drafting and 3D modeling using SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of sheet metal design, weldments, and fabrication processes
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic documentation tools

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in automotive accessories or vehicle body design
• Familiarity with CNC, laser cutting, bending, and welding processes
• Knowledge of materials such as steel, aluminum, and composites
• Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software
