Job Description

Undertakes research on new and emerging security technologies, evaluates current market availability of security devices and technology and recommends security products and technologies for procurement. Designs, implements and evaluates security-focused tools and services. Participates in security compliance audits and efforts of security equipment within the HQ SKEC, SAN (P.L, Glenelg Schools). Provides continual upgrading and monitoring of all security related equipment, including but not limited to the multiple CCTV systems, control rooms, access systems, x-ray scanning systems, etc. Provides maintenance on all security systems and monitors contractor's activity and reports on those issues. Provides advice relative to acquisition and vendor risk assessment.

A. Provides research and feasibility studies on most suitable security technical equipment available on the market. Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.
B. Conducts security and maintenance audits on current securltv equipment.
C.Design, implement, support and evaluate all of the technical security-focused tools currently in use and prepares reports for future requirements.
D. Provide maintenance on all technical security-focused tools and equipment and maintains registers identifying works pending, conducting and completed.
E. Provides annual schedule for maintenance and upgrades of security related technology. F. Monitors contractors supplying, installing, maintaining technical security equipment.
G. Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness for specific security technology training.
H. undertake risk analysis on technical security matters and develop mitigation plans.
I.Provide acquisition advice to the Manager, Safety & Security Dept. on technical security equipmentand undertake vendor risk assessment due diligence, particularly relative to specialist equipment such as X-Ray and Intruder Detection Systems.
Participate in the preparation of security & safety technical equipment contracts, including preparing Scope of Works and BOQ for contracts relating to the role, including maintenance of the contracts once awarded and oversee the continuance of contractual obligations are being met.
Assist developing and interpreting security policies and procedures that relate to technical security equipment.
Participate in incident handling to ensure technical equipment operates at optimum level.
Keeps the Manager, Safety & Security Dept. fully appraised on safety and security technical equipment related matters.

Skill set

Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication/Telecommunication Engineering.
5 years' experience in security work providing electronic and technical support.
Demonstrated knowledge of security system vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
Good knowledge of English and Arabic.
