Job Description

Provides a complete range of Process Engineering Services to POI-UZ750POS Team / Ol-POI Division

The scope of work includes:

Plant operations technical support. Support Project Engineering team of UZ750 in critical document reviews.
Ensure Operability and Maintainability aspects are addressed in the Design-Engineering.
Execution of studies, modifications and projects as an individual or as part of a team.
To ensure that all of the services provided are in line and according to industry and company
standards, practices and procedures.

Principal Accountabilities
Perform plant modification and refurbishment studies, and process simulation using different computer software.
Develops detailed heat and material balance, and designs for new internally engineered projects and review the major modifications in the production facilities.
Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P & IDs), utility Flow Diagrams (UFD), Cause and effect tables and the required design specifications and perform equipment sizing calculations and calculate line sizes and make flow summaries.
Provide process data for instrument sizing.
Prepare technical proposals and engineering estimates and scope of work for the studies/projectsto be handled by outside Consultant or contractors.
Prepare start-up and commissioning procedures for the new modification and provide assistance in preparing operating manuals and procedures and apply international codes and HSE guidelines to existing and new modifications.
Assist and participate in troubleshooting, plant start-up and commissioning and provide technical advise and assistance to plant operation and maintenance sections and participate in operation review audit.
Prepare tender specification and conduct bid evaluation and review vendor drawings and documents.
Attend functional test and performance guarantee test and guide flow sheet draftsman in detailed flow sheet.
Interface with other engineering disciplines, and provide process input to carryout detailed engineering activities and participate and chair Hazop and Hazan studies.
Carry out plant trial runs to obtain operating data for studies. I.) Provide input to reports to TeM and other MIS.
m.) Give presentation to Management and other Business Unit Sections on the stuoies/project.

Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):

Interaction within Business Unit to contribute and lead Business unit team assignments. Maintains strong links with site personnel to ensure proper technical support is provided. Interacts with other service unit personnel to complete scope of assignments.
Frequent contacts with external consultants, contractors and vendors. Occasional contacts with
ADNOC and their group companies for exchange of technical information.
Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:
Responsible for execution of tasks assigned and identify and coordinating company external services to complete tasks. Works within departmental and company guidelines, and professional standards. Identify most effective way of completing assignments, showing initiative and able to set priorities.

Skill set

B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering.
At least 10-12 years working industry experience, of which last 5 should have been oil and gas industryrelated. Experience shall have covered projects, detailed design and operations technical support.
Computer literate, command in Process software.
Very good knowledge of English.
