Reviews materials ‎requests raised by Users ‎and spares parts ‎requirements for new ‎projects, compiles ‎relevant materials data ‎to update descriptions, ‎creates catalogues and ‎updates as required to ‎ensure materials data is ‎correctly processed ‎through Materials ‎Management System ‎‎(MAXIMO). Assists in ‎evaluating products ‎suitability.

Reviews new materials ‎requests raised by ‎Users to ensure ‎adequate data on ‎descriptions, equipment ‎details, tag numbers, ‎part numbers, quantity ‎requirements, and ‎classifications. Etc.‎
Liaises with Users, ‎Inventory Control and ‎Warehousing Personnel ‎and ‎Vendors/Manufactures ‎for physical checks ‎where possible and to ‎collect drawings, ‎specifications and other ‎particulars related to ‎materials; maintains ‎materials data as ‎appropriate and updates ‎materials buying ‎descriptions
Selects the appropriate ‎Base Noun/Modifier as ‎per Standard Modifier ‎Dictionary and populates ‎the Templates; creates ‎material catalogues and ‎forwards to Inventory ‎Control Section for ‎procurement action.‎
Directs and controls ‎data entry input through ‎MAXIMO. Makes ‎periodic checks to ‎ensure correct data entry ‎operation according to ‎system specification ‎and operating ‎standards.‎
Identifies ‎manufacturable parts ‎for further evaluation of ‎feasibility and sources. ‎Reviews products ‎details from suppliers ‎and evaluates its ‎acceptance ‎coordinating with ‎suppliers and users as ‎necessary.‎
Physically inspects new ‎project spares and ‎ensures that the supplied ‎items are the

correct specification; updates wherever required, buying descriptions with ‎data available on the system.‎
Reviews the 2-years operations requirements for project materials/electronic SPIRs ‎to ensure correct spare parts quantities; coordinates with Users/Projects personnel ‎as needed and selects appropriate noun/modifier.‎
Reviews and creates Bills of Materials for all new project materials and new ‎catalogues created on the User’s request.‎
Reviews existing materials inventory to improve interchangeability, generalization ‎and standardization.‎
Allocates and recommends changes to catalogue to eliminate conflicting ‎catalogue items and ensure correct interface range of items with MAXIMO.‎
Reviews direct charge and capital requisitions for adequate descriptions, proper ‎specifications and checks availability, if any, in stock or surplus custody. Creates ‎catalogue and forwards to the originators for necessary approvals and forwarding ‎to Purchasing Department for procurement action.‎
Provides technical advice on materials specifications and catalogues to Inventory
Control, Warehousing and other sections.‎

Skill set

B.Sc. Degree in an Engineering Discipline.‎
‎7+ years’ of experience in Materials Management in an Refinery or Petrochemicals ‎industry.‎
Knowledge of computer is essential (i.e. Spreadsheet and Database).‎
