Bus Driver
Job Summary
The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from designated locations while adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and scheduled routes. The driver ensures passenger safety, provides excellent customer service, and maintains the cleanliness and basic condition of the assigned vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate a bus along assigned routes and schedules.
* Pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
* Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Assist passengers, including the elderly and persons with disabilities, when required.
* Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, incidents, and inspections.
* Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or emergencies to management immediately.
* Keep the bus clean, presentable, and properly fueled.
* Manage passenger behavior to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
* Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety procedures.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid bus driver's license.
* Clean driving record.
* Previous bus driving experience is preferred.
* Ability to pass medical examinations, background checks, and drug/alcohol screening.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
