1. Job Purpose:
To support the kitchen team in all aspects of food preparation and service within a live kitchen environment. This entry-level role is perfect for a motivated individual seeking to learn and build a career in culinary arts under the direct guidance of an experienced Head Chef.
2. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients and assist with basic cooking tasks as directed.
Perform daily mise-en-place to ensure station readiness.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas.
Follow all opening, closing, and safety checklists diligently.
Assist in customer interaction and service as required in the live kitchen setup.
Work collaboratively and respectfully with the entire kitchen team.
Learn and adhere to all recipes, standards, and procedures set by the Head Chef.
3. Person Specification:
Experience: 1 year in a kitchen or similar fast-paced environment is advantageous, but not mandatory. Candidates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged.
Skills & Attributes:
Essential: Honesty, reliability, and punctuality. A strong aversion to lies and time-wasting.
Essential: Clean personal and work habits.
Essential: Flexibility, a positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
Essential: Ability to work under pressure in a team.
Desirable: Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and procedures.
4. Salary & Progression:
Kitchen Help: AED 1,800 - AED 2,200. Starting salary depends on prior experience. Final offer contingent on performance in a practical skills test.
Commis / Cooking Line: AED 2,000 - AED 2,600. Role and salary depend on experience and performance in a food trial.
