Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Senior Storekeeper to oversee the efficient operation of site and warehouse stores, ensuring the proper receipt, storage, control, and issuance of construction materials, equipment spare parts, and consumables. Working closely with Procurement, Plant, and Project teams, the role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting operational requirements, and ensuring all store activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of construction materials, tools, equipment spare parts, and consumables.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels within the ERP system, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and documented.
• Monitor inventory movements and conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Plant, and Project teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment required for operations.
• Inspect incoming deliveries to verify quantities, specifications, and condition against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Prepare and maintain material receiving reports, issue vouchers, stock registers, and other store-related documentation.
• Ensure proper storage methods are followed to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss of materials and equipment.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and notify relevant departments of replenishment requirements.
• Support the implementation of warehouse housekeeping, safety, and inventory control procedures in line with company standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate the dispatch and receipt of materials between project sites and warehouses where required.
• Operate and maintain inventory records using the company's ERP system, including FOCUS software.
• Support IMS, OSH, and company safety initiatives applicable to warehouse and store operations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Supervisor, Procurement Manager, or Department Head.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
• 5–10 years of experience as a Storekeeper within a construction or contracting company.
• Sound knowledge of construction materials, plant and equipment spare parts, and warehouse operations.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably FOCUS software.
• Good understanding of inventory control, stock management, shipping and receiving processes, and warehouse safety practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to plan and prioritize work effectively.
• Team-oriented with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
• Adaptable and able to perform effectively under pressure.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
