Worker Welfare Officer
Overview
We are seeking a Worker Welfare Officer to support the delivery of worker welfare initiatives across our project sites. The role will be responsible for monitoring compliance with UAE labour laws, client welfare requirements, and company standards while promoting a safe, respectful, and positive environment for the workforce.
Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and the HR Department, the successful candidate will help ensure welfare commitments are effectively implemented, monitored, and continuously improved across the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the implementation and monitoring of worker welfare standards in line with UAE labour laws, client requirements, contractual obligations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with client representatives during welfare inspections, audits, and compliance reviews, ensuring timely closure of observations and corrective actions.
• Monitor welfare compliance across direct employees and subcontractors, including accommodation standards, welfare facilities, working hours, and WPS-related requirements.
• Conduct regular welfare inspections and maintain accurate records, reports, registers, and compliance documentation.
• Act as a point of contact for workers on welfare-related matters, supporting grievance management, employee engagement activities, and worker welfare forums.
• Liaise with the HR Department, project teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to address welfare concerns and support workforce wellbeing initiatives.
• Prepare welfare reports, statistics, and management updates, highlighting performance trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Promote a culture of respect, fair treatment, ethical employment practices, and continuous improvement across the workforce.
• Support IMS, OSH, ESG, and sustainability initiatives where applicable.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management
