In my current role as General Accountant at Noor BaniyasHyper Market (Creative Group of Companies) in Abu Dhabi, Where I handle in,
Financial Reporting & General Ledger: Maintain and monitor all account-related transactions, post month-end journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Accounts Payable (AP) & Receivable (AR): Manage AP/AR ledgers, receive and process invoices/billing statements, generate customer invoices, follow up with clients for pending payments, and maintain tight control over customer outstanding amounts.
VAT Compliance & Audit Support: Prepare VAT records, VAT bills, credit notes, and tax invoice
arrangements; submit documentation to auditors and assist with both month-end and year-end closing audits.
WPS Payroll Administration: Execute monthly staff salary calculations based on attendance, ensure proper salary coding to the correct Wages Protection System (WPS) portal, manage staff loans/advances, and prepare final settlements for departing staff.
Treasury & Cash Handling: Manage physical cash handling activities, conduct daily sales audits against receipts, perform weekly cash closings, prepare daily closing reports, and execute bank and credit card reconciliations.
Inventory & Vendor Operations: Oversee inventory receiving and control, monitor stock levels, coordinate purchase orders, compile damaged and expired product lists, and support the purchasing
team.
Departmental Support: Assist accounting staff across departments, ensuring accurate record-keeping,and act as cashier and receiver when operationally required.
