Theo for Adoption
It breaks my heart to make this decision, but I'm looking for a loving forever home for my rabbit, Theo.
Theo is estimated to be around 2 years old Since his exact date of birth is unknown, his age is only an estimate.
I am rehoming Theo because of an unexpected housing situation and financial difficulties. I want him to have a peaceful, stable environment where he can receive all the care he deserves, including vaccinations, regular veterinary care, and any supplements he may need. I have tried to find a suitable veterinarian who can provide rabbit vaccinations, but I haven't been able to arrange this. This is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but I truly believe Theo deserves the best possible home where all of his needs can be met.
About Theo
* Neutered, but not vaccinated.
* He does not have a pet passport.
* Theo is a Lionhead rabbit, so he needs to be brushed frequently.
* He's a sweet rabbit who enjoys affection. Once he trusts you, he will come over for pets and even approach you when he wants attention.
* He has a funny, expressive side and a big personality.
* He may need some time to adjust to his new home, but with patience and care, he will become more comfortable and show his personality.
* He does not like being picked up.
* He does not like being chased and can become scared, so it’s important to approach him calmly.
* He does not like loud noises and can get scared by sudden sounds, so a peaceful environment is best for him.
* He loves bananas and will happily fight you for a piece if given the chance.
* He's very curious and can be a little naughty, so it's important that your home is fully bunny proofed.
* Grooming isn't his favorite thing, and he can be difficult during grooming sessions.
* He can be protective around food, so it's best to give him his space while he's eating.
* He likes having time to himself when he needs it.
His Living Setup
* Theo currently lives in a large enclosure and gets a few hours of free roam time each day to explore and exercise.
* Due to my current housing situation, I am not able to provide full time free roaming. A future home with a safe, bunny proofed area and plenty of space to explore would be ideal for him.
Litter Training
* Theo is litter trained, but because he will be moving to a new environment, he will need to be retrained in his new space until he learns where his litter area is.
His Care Routine
* Clean his cage and litter box every 2 days.
* Clean his water fountain once a week.
* Replace the water fountain filter every 2 weeks.
* He comes with his automatic food feeder, which has a built in camera that connects through wifi so his feeding can be monitored.
* His feeder includes a moisture absorbing packet to help keep his food fresh, which needs to be replaced every 14 days
* His automatic food feeder gives him 1/4 cuo of pellets.
* He needs unlimited hay available at all times.
* He needs daily vegetables as part of his diet.
* His pellets, hay, and treats should be from the brand Oxbow.
* He can also have fruits as occasional treats.
Theo will come with his belongings to help him settle into his new home comfortably.
I am looking for someone who understands rabbit care or is willing to learn and can provide Theo with a safe, loving, and permanent home. My biggest priority is finding someone who will be patient with him, respect his personality, and give him the life he deserves.
