Description
We have been temporarily fostering this male kitten after finding him alone and severely malnourished.
We estimate that he is approximately 4–5 weeks old. Due to his previous malnourishment, he is very small for his age. We took him to the vet, who confirmed that his small size is due to malnourishment and that he is otherwise healthy.
Since coming into our care, he has made a significant recovery. He is now active, playful and alert, has a good appetite, and is very comfortable around people. He is friendly, affectionate and enjoys attention.
He appears to be a domesticated shorthair with tabby markings but we are not too sure of his exact breed.
He has been checked by a veterinarian and:
- Is flea and tick free
- Has no worms and was given deworming treatment as a precaution
- Is eating and drinking well
- Uses a litter box independently
We would have been happy to continue fostering him, but unfortunately our dog is aggressive toward cats and has not adjusted well to having a kitten in the home. For the safety and wellbeing of both animals, we cannot keep them together.
We are therefore looking for a responsible and loving adopter who can provide him with a safe indoor home and continue giving him the care and attention he needs as he grows.
