The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for identifying, pitching, and securing new corporate clients to expand the company’s Business in Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. This role requires a proven hunter mentality to capture market share across sea, air, and land transportation networks while maintaining highly profitable margins.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development : Actively prospect, cold-call, and network to build a robust pipeline of local B2B clients, targeting key Abu Dhabi sectors like Oil & Gas, Energy, Project Logistics, and Manufacturing.
Account Management : Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, looking for upselling opportunities by introducing multimodal freight options and contract logistics (3PL/customs clearance).
Trade Lane Development: Collaborate with overseas agents and internal networks to build competitive pricing structures for specific import/export trade lanes (e.g., China, India, Europe to Abu Dhabi).
Quotations & Negotiations: Prepare technical freight proposals and commercial quotations, negotiating contract rates with clients to maximize Gross Profit (GP) margins.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the pricing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure customized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are met and client cargo is delivered seamlessly.
Credit & Collections: Initiate customer credit approval requests in accordance with company policy and actively follow up to close outstanding payment receivables.
CRM Management: Keep the company’s CRM software continuously updated with accurate client data, logs of sales visits, and dynamic pipeline forecasts.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of monthly and annual Gross Profit (GP) and volume targets.
Number of New activations (new customer accounts secured per quarter).
Retention rate and volume growth of existing accounts.
Timely collection of payments / low outstanding age analysis.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 3 to 6 years of solid outdoor sales experience specifically within a freight forwarding company in the UAE.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Local Network: A strong, established portfolio of active B2B clients in Abu Dhabi (candidates with existing Oil & Gas, manufacturer or project logistics contacts are highly preferred).
Industry Knowledge: Deep operational understanding of INCOTERMS, customs clearance regulations, port procedures (e.g., Khalifa Port), and air/sea/land pricing dynamics.
Driving License: A valid UAE Car Driving License is strictly mandatory for regular field visits.
Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills in English (Arabic or other languages are a massive bonus).
Commission & Sales Incentives
Profit-Sharing Commission Model: A tiered commission paid monthly or quarterly, typically ranging from 5% to 10% of the Net Gross Profit (GP) generated by the executive's accounts once they clear their monthly target (usually 3 times the salary).
