WE ARE HIRING – CIVIL ENGINEER (ESTIMATION & TENDERING)
Stride International Construction & Transport – Sole Proprietorship LLC, Abu Dhabi, is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer – Estimation & Tendering to join our team.
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, drawings and specifications, preparing quantity take-offs and BOQs, obtaining supplier/subcontractor quotations, preparing detailed cost estimates, and developing competitive tender pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract documents.
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Prepare and price BOQs for civil, structural, architectural and finishing works.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare tender cost comparisons and pricing analysis.
Identify exclusions, qualifications, risks and commercial considerations.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams during tender preparation.
Maintain updated material, labour and subcontractor pricing databases.
Assist in preparing technical and commercial tender submissions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Previous UAE experience in estimation, costing and tendering within a contracting company.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, labour rates and subcontractor pricing in the UAE.
Good understanding of drawings, specifications and BOQs.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel and estimation/quantity take-off software.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tender deadlines.
Experience with villas, residential buildings and light-gauge steel/LGS construction will be an advantage.
