A financial management practice based in Abu Dhabi providing services to clients in the UK.

Assistant Accountant

Eager to be part of an exciting company going through progressive change, the Assistant Accountant reporting directly to the Finance Manager in delivering the best in class service to a major client. Customer service and fluent English speaking skills are of utmost importance.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of purchase ledger, invoice processing, supplier payments, supplier reconciliations and ensuring purchase ledger in scrutinised to ensure its accuracy at all times.
• Bank reconciliations, journal postings, cash sales processing and ensuring cash control accounts are reconciled on weekly basis.
• Own month-end process from trial balance to the preparation of monthly management accounts with an in-depth variance analysis.
• Posting accruals, prepayments, depreciations, cost transfers and variour other journal postings.
• Accruals and prepayments, with key schedules maintained and reviewed.
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
• Detailed balance sheet reconciliations on monthly basis.
• Ensuring costs are correctly allocated and reported.
• Produce monthly and weekly financial reports.
• Liaising with external auditors and providing support in preparation of year-end statutory audit and accounts.
• Other ad-hoc projects/tasks.


Knowledge and Experience

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• Fluent in English, good written and oral skills (A must have)
• Extensive experience of quality management reporting and analysis.
• Good financial & commercial acumen.
• Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CA.
• Advanced user of excel, with ability to build robust financial models. (A must have)
• Good communicator and strong inter-personal skills.
• 5 Year work experience.

Abu Dhabi

Office Timings
As client is UK based so the office times will be Mon to Fri 1pm to 9pm UAE time.
