We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our supermarket team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing customer purchases accurately, handling cash and card transactions, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
* Scan items accurately and process payments (cash, card, and other payment methods).
* Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
* Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
* Assist customers with inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department when needed.
* Promote store offers, loyalty programs, and special promotions.
* Follow company policies regarding cash handling and customer service.
* Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 2 years of cashier or retail experience is preferred.
* Basic computer and POS (Point of Sale) system knowledge.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Strong numerical and cash-handling abilities.
* Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Honest, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
