Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster, made in Mexico in 2013 (serial MX13334802), 2-Color Sunburst.
This is not a regular Tele. Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Chris Fleming designed it on the '52 Telecaster, and the neck plate says "Custom Shop Designed".
- Ash body and one-piece maple neck, soft V profile with a 9.5" radius. The neck is fuller than on most Teles, somewhere between a Tele and a Les Paul
- '52-style bridge with three barrel saddles
- Vintage-style tuners and a single-ply black pickguard
- 4-way pickup selector plus the S-1 push button: bridge, bridge + neck in parallel, neck, and bridge + neck in series. The push button puts the two combined positions out of phase. Six sounds instead of the usual three on a Tele
- Bare Knuckle Piledriver Tele pickups in the bridge and neck, custom-ordered from Bare Knuckle (UK). Hot vintage voicing: all the twang, with more push and a fatter low end
- Original Fender pickups not included
- Fresh set-up by my tech in October 2026
- Guitar only, no case or gig bag
Condition: good. The body is in good shape. The bridge plate and saddles have rust, the tuners are dull with some pitting, the finish is worn at the tip of the headstock, and the pickguard has fine scratches. See photos, including the bridge pickup baseplate taken by my tech.
It has only ever been used indoors, at home. Never used for gigs or outdoors. You're welcome to test it before buying. I have an amp and cables at home.
