The SVS PB16-Ultra is a legendary, massive ported cabinet home theater subwoofer. Widely regarded as a benchmark for low-frequency performance, it is engineered for extreme output, subterranean extension, and precise control.
Key Specifications
• Driver: 16-inch Ultra-series composite cone with an unprecedented 8-inch edge-wound voice coil.
• Amplifier: Sledge STA-1500D Class D amplifier delivering 1,500 Watts RMS continuous and over 5,000 Watts peak.
• DSP Engine: 50 MHz Analog Devices Audio DSP with 56-bit filtering for immaculate, distortion-free output management.
• Weight: An immense 174.5 lbs (79.15 kg) unboxed.

Variable Tuning & Performance Modes
The PB16-Ultra features triple 3.5-inch front-firing high-flow ports. By using the included foam port plugs, you can physically alter the subwoofer's internal acoustics to prioritize depth, output, or tight transient response
Tuning Mode Frequency Response (±3 dB) Character & Best Use Case
Standard Mode (All 3 ports open) 15 Hz – 280 Hz Maximum raw output; ideal for large home theater spaces.
Extended Mode (2 ports open, 1 plugged) 13 Hz – 280 Hz Maximum depth; captures the lowest infrasonic movie frequencies.
Sealed Mode (All 3 ports plugged) 14 Hz – 360 Hz Tightest transient response; behaves like a sealed sub for critical music listening.
Smart Control & Features
• SVS Smartphone App: Connects seamlessly via Bluetooth to control advanced DSP functions like volume, a 3-band parametric EQ, low-pass filters, phase adjustments, and room gain compensation directly from your seating position.
• Premium Construction: Built with a double-thick MDF front baffle and extensive internal bracing to create an acoustically inert cabinet that won't resonate, even at reference volumes.
